Renting an exhibition space during the design week costs 400euro/sqm per day. Saturated Spaces is born in 2023 to shed light on the impacts of high rents in Milan. By occupying the space of a local business such as Sironi, a company founded in 1924, the event is a critique of rent speculation during events such as the salone del mobile, giving emerging creatives the chance to exhibit their work for free and open a space for a dialogue about how much the design scene prioritises big companies and well-known artists.
