Conceived as a gathering project, Fleurousel identifies itself as a sensory kaleidoscope, a playful experience with a thousand nuances. The central object stands in the center of nature, inviting the visitor on a carousel ride to explore the thousand possibilities of interaction with nature. Its image recalls the iconic blue poppy, its materiality promotes sustainability and its hidden rattles take us back to a childhood experience, when by closing our eyes and using all our senses, everything became possible in our imagination.
Plant selection maximizes the use of herbaceous and tall grass types native to North America. The proposed blend involves the use of medicinal plants that release balsamic scents, guiding visitors into a sensory experience. The selection includes plants in different flowering periods, such as Witch Hazel, Juniper, Achillea, Mentha and Blue Poppy, one of the park’s signature plants, to create an experience that changes with the seasons. The objective of the project is not only to create a point within the park’s route, but to create a journey through the smells, colors and culture of Quebec.
